Spanish contains so many multisyllabic words. It’s also considered to be a very morphologically, rich language, meaning there’s a lot of different grammatical endings. At Habla Cadabra SLP, we believe that materials should reflect the language needs. Our cards include a variety of syllable, semantic categories, and word endings. The Habla Palabra series also includes pairs for children that may struggle using more than two syllables, and provide contrasting cards to show that if you miss a syllable, you can change the whole meaning of a word. We delivered this training to a packed room at the Texas Speech Language and Hearing convention. It was a joy to discuss the importance of attachment and regulation in intervention.

Our team hosted a seminar for a group of bilingual speech language pathologists to discuss different CAS interventions as well as considerations for bilingual children. We were happy to have several virtual attendees as well!
